His acting skills leave a lot to be desired. He needs to get in a good movie too.

Sorry, he's not a particularly good actor. Great acting skills win an Oscar, not good looks.

All his best movies are behind him, plus straight to video movies aren't usually anywhere close to being oscar worthy.
go out and get kickboxer, bloodsport, no retreat no surrender, and the quest and enjoy his 'gorgeousness all you want.

he was good looking but he's gone down hill.. he hasn't made a movie in ages.. and besides that none of his movies ever got an oscar nod before so i don't see it happening for him now...
