I've tried changing the channel on the phone and I can hear static when I am near the 2wire but when I step out of the room it goes crystal clear.

i had that problem before and im an idiot when it comes to explaining these kinds of things....

i had a wireless router anda cordless phone. The channel my cordless phone was on was interfering with my wireless internet.... i changed the settings(the channel) that my router was on and i no longer had that problem. you might just be able to change the channel your phone is on i dont know but i was told it was the router.

previous settings i had was that it was set on e channel 1
i changed it to 6 and havent had a problem since

i doubt that helps but i tried..... i told u im bad at explaining these things

If you have Dail-Up there is nothing you can do because well your phone line can only dial to one place at a time.
