Is there another word besides Freezing. You can't use cold because freezing is colder than the cold but you can't use the term Absolute Zero because it makes you sound stupid. I am sure there is another word in the english dictionary that is colder than freezing. Can someone please give me some suggestions.
Thanks

First of all, "absolute zero" does not make one "sound stupid"! Used properly, it makes one precise and unambiguous. The term is commonly used in physics and chemistry and has a particular meaning. It could never be properly used to describe weather.

Here are a few synonyms for freezing. Some are quite a stretch.

solidifiy, icy, glaciate, congeal, anesthetize, become solid, harden.

Freezing varies per substance but the common reference is H2O so
It is not absolute zero (that is almost - 460 F)
but 32 deg F or 0 deg C

Since freezing usu refers to water, and water freezes @ 0 deg C, you could could always say "sub-zero".
