Ok, this is going to be a hard 1, but here goes. There is this 80's (I believe) rock song, girl singer, heavy guitar, sounds a little like Joan Jett, but I can't seem to find it when I search for her. I don't even know many (if any) of the words...but the beat is like "da da da, da-da-da-da-da, da da da, dadadadadah The only words I can understand are something in the chorus like "your gonna die" or "your going down", something like that. It was/is a pretty popular song. The music is so loud/hard and guitar so heavy it's hard to make out the words. I know this is next to impossible but if anyone at all has even a slight clue what this could be I would REALLY appreciate the help! Thanks!

Ok it's definitly female, and I think she's in a band. I have no clue if she plays guitar or not. No this is not GNR or Iron Madien, like I said, no doubt female lead singer. Has that heavy 80's sound to it. Like I said, sounds a lot like Joan Jett style, but haven't found a thing of hers close yet. Thanks to all who tried to help. ;)

Not sure who you're talking about. Is it a solo female singer, a group, does SHE play guitar? Anyway...I looked up Yahoo! search & there are soooo many to chose.
Go to Yahoo! search & type hard rock/80's/female --this might help you.

Take care!

Just thought : Try - Lita Ford

The only other female rockers that I can think of are Patty Symthe, Pat Benetar, Heart, and Lita Ford. Of these, Lita was probably the "heaviest"

Seeing as most of the 80s metal queens have already been answered, I'm gonna throw my guess in and go with Wendy O. Williams. (or her band The Plasmatics)

Also, I don't think she had the lyrics "you're gonna die", but Lee Aaron was around in that time frame as well.

Well, it's not a girl - but in the 80's , Iron Maiden had a song called "Die with Your Boots On" from the "Piece Of Mind" disc, chorus as follows:

If you're gonna die , die with your boots on
If you're gonna try , just stick around
gonna cry , just move along
if you're gonna die - you're gonna die.

if that's not it - i'm of no help then...

It sounds like this might be "Heartbreaker" from Pat Benetar. I included a link to the song lyrics below. I hope that helps!~ :)

If the singer has a "husky" voice it might be Melissa Etheridge.
