No doubt, colleges being what they are now, society would improve on the whole. Every one thinking they need a college education is a fairly recent idea. Some people are not suitable for college and college is not suitable for most young people these days. You should keep on learning everything you can all through your life - college or no college.

First of all, we would be able to ask questions that are grammatically correct. How about, "What if there weren't any colleges? What could possibly go wrong in society as a result?"......let's start from there!
