Watching tv, phones (real phones.. for sum odd reason she hates her own), playing with remotes, watching tv, shoving her fingers down her throat until she gags, playing with coasters (for cups) um walking around the table, throwing herself back on the bed or the floor (with pillows down) & watching tv..... pretty much everything you think she/he wouldn't wanna do..... : - )

Let me start by saying that TV is probably not the answer, sure it's ok some time, but you don't want to hook your child at such a young age. If you do put the tv on for your child, find some educational and fun things for them to watch, like Baby Einstein Videos, they are great and educational. I have never seen a child that didn't love them!
Secondly, I would say read to them, sing to them, tell them stories, show them picture albums of them since they were borna nd of your family explaining who each one is (this sounds insane, I'm sure, but it was one of my nephew's favorite things and still is). Lay in the floor and talk to them, or just talk to them all of the time, when you aren't talking to someone else. Go outside, make a pallet and watch the clouds and everything around.
Toys are great, and so educational now a days! Try ones with shiny parts, bright colors and many textures and shapes. They are very textile at that age and love feeling different things and looking at them also!
Kids absorb everything during these times, so anything you do to show them attention will be enjoyed greatly by them!
Congrats on the baby and enjoy them, they grow fast!

Starts recognising sounds, visually movements around, and also enjoys discovering own body parts and the earliest wisdom regarding control over the body parts, the limbs! Create some cheer around, in terms of sound (music! soft and pleasing!) and colourful friendly toys, and interms of friendly people around! And, above all, enjoy parenting, yourself! (That will certainly have a great effect on the child!)

Chewing on the books I try to read her
shoving her pacifier fulling into her mouth, handle and all
throwing toys at the cat and watching him chase his tail
babbling to Mommy and Daddy
listening to music - mostly sesame street songs
climbing on mommy and daddys bed and jumping on them
chewing on everything within arms reach
standing and on musical toys to see how many times they play before they break
tackling other babies her size on playdates
passing a toy to a baby and stealing it right back
crawling as fast as possible anywhere possible
That seems to sum up what my baby girl did last month..lol :)

My son is almost 10 months old, and he loves crawling around chasing his older brother. He likes pulling up on chairs and stuff and trying to take steps. His absolute favorite thing to do though is his doorway bouncer. He would stay in that thing all day long if we let him!
