If you mean in the hospital before the baby comes home - they are usually in the neonatal department. If you mean once the baby comes home and the baby is brought to the hospital, that's usually a pediatric nurse. But if you are takling about in "olden" days when women took care of other women's children - those were called wet nurses because it was deemed improper to nurse your own child so usually they had a servant who recently had a child nurse both.
If you are just looking for someone to care for your baby, that would be a nanny, baby sitter, or day care worker or day care center.

If you're referring to while in the hospital, they are referred to as 1) neonatal nurse, or 2) pediatric nurse. In England, a nurse that takes care of your child at home is called a nanny. She will have had emergency training (CPR, First Aid, etc) as well as courses in child development and psychology. A nanny who has a degree in education is referred to as a governess.

I think it is a neonatle nurse (I'm Not Sure How To Spell It). But it can also be a pediactric nurse. Mostley these are found in the hospital. In the New England tey call em' nannys but in the olden days they called em' midwifes.
