i am such a huge fan of the doors! their my favorite band! i own all of their albums and love all of their songs! they just take me somewhere else and give me chills in my back lol! jim morrison had a very deep voice and the lyrics were excellent - i love all those weird stories and poetry. the organ sound was awsome and original! and jim morrison was a real legend - he was so myterious (and handsome!)

I have to grin when I hear someone go awestruck into a deep monolouge of how genius The Doors were in their heyday.
The Doors were pretty much "alternative" for the 60s: they were average skilled musicians who happend on the right place, the right time--and were stoned when they recorded.
Music recordings by stoned guys attracts stoned "groovin' " music audiences. Pretty much it. But alas, The Doors managed to etch in forever time their sound that was a target part of 60's "hippie" culture....and forever their sound(s) will resonate.......somewhere.

I LOVE The Doors! I have always been fascinated with Jim Morrison and his life. I recommend the film about the Doors if you haven't seen it. Val Kilmer was amazing as Jim.

Love them! I saw them in person at the Felt Forum in NYC way back when and I will always remember it. Their music endures and stands the test of time.
