Underated has gotta either be Texas A&M or K-state:
The aggies have one of the, if not the, best defenses in the nation and yet i have only seen one front pager ALL YEAR on yahoo! sports. And it was about their coach,( who did make an AMAZING turnaround at not only A&M, But UTEP too.)
K-state however, just needs to be able to finish. They have almost had several upsets and have had some. They should definitely at least be ranked. They almost beat Texas A&M and KU,( i know KU pulled away, but they hung in there!) and did beat Texas.
Overated is probably Ohio state. Now you gotta admit that their pretty good, but not No. 2 in the nation good. The only player i hear about on a regular basis is Greg Oden, Who is THE MOST OVERATED PLAYER IN THE NCAA.

OSU is definitely overrated, having lost to UNC, Wisconsin and a loss to Florida by 26 points. The entire Big 10 as a conference is overrated. As for underrated, I believe Texas A&M deserves to be a top 5 team, or at least ranked higher than Memphis (perennially overrated). Memphis might be 13-0 in the stinkpit that is C-USA, but they have only one win outside of C-USA against a ranked team at the time (Kentucky), coupled with losses against Georgia Tech (not even .500 in the ACC), unranked Tennessee, and Arizona (8-7 in the Pac-10). It's beyond me how a team like Memphis gets so much love, yet a team like Nevada gets so exposure whatsoever. TV contracts, I guess. If Memphis actually played in a power conference, they wouldn't even be a .500 team, which is why they exit the tournament early most years.

It's hard to see certain teams as underrated or overrated because with so many analysts you can always find one that likes a certain team.
Memphis is overrated- the win against Gonzaga notwithstanding. They have had zero competition in Conference USA and when they run into a smart, disciplined, and somewhat athletic team they are in trouble, plus they can't hit foul shots.
Georgetown might be underrated. Yes, they are at number 12, but they are on a roll right now and you do not want them as a two in your bracket if you are anyone. They gave Florida all they could handle in the sweet 16 last year and the same casts of characters would be on the floor again if they met next month.

the most underrated team is texas a&m...for some reason, there are people who just don't believe that this team is capable of winning a national title, even though they have proven that they can play superb defense and score in bunches from time to time
the most overrated is kansas...people are getting excited about how good they've looked, but they've beaten colorado, iowa state, nebraska, and kansas state in the time since their loss to a&m at home...not exactly the most impressive schedule, considering the only potential tournament team is ksu
by the way, did the guy above me just say greg oden is the most overrated player in college basketball, or am i just a blind idiot? are you serious buddy??? have you even watched any of his games, he's averaging close to a double-double a game and shooting over 60% from the field with his OFF HAND!
