He is stumped. He likes his Philosophy class. He prefers Reading and Writing courses compared to Math courses. He plays guitar but doesn't know much theory. Photography is a hobby of his. I'm trying to paint a picture...

His concern is that he wants a major that results in a good-paying job. I graduated in a mundane major in Liberal Arts and have found it difficult to get a job where I can use my degree in Economics around here. We live in a mid-size town and he would like to stay around here. Doesn't want to move out to a big city so he'd be looking for employment in a small to mid-size company. I don't want him to go into sales after college.

Any ideas?

I know money is important, but tell your brother to put aside those concerns and seek to find what he loves doing AND does well. If he finds the job ideally suited for him, he'll excel ... and in every field, the elite performers are the highest paid.

He needs to major in something that interest him. He could be a Arts, English, or Music major.
