Well, InuYasha is the good guy, but he wouldn't have been unless he was under Kagome's spell that made him fall face flat with the word "sit" -- it basically restrained him. But during his childhood, he was never accepted from either words -- the humans or demons. His heart desired to become a full-fledged demon because he finds humans weak, and inferior. Also, his father and older brother, Sesshomaru (who also doesn't accept his half-breedness) are/were powerful demons, which probably influences him moree. I dunno. I guess it's all on his perspective on the world -- how he was never accepted probably played a major role.

This is only my opinion, but Inuyasha wants to be a full fledged demon in order to have all the powers and abilities of a demon like his father and brother. But that doesn't mean he wants to be like his brother. He doesn't want to be evil. Not all demons in the series were evil. Take Shippo for instance. Hes a little fox demon that the other characters have made friends with. And Kilala, Sango's companion or pet demon. I hope that helps.

because he a half demon and being a half demon your power will only be half of wat real demon power is, so he wants to be stronger plus he was not accepted as a human or a demon, he was living with his mother so the only thing he saw was humans and they did not accept him and the kids in the palace did not play with him, that have make him hate humans that y he wants to be demon and destroy mankind and not all demon are evil example kirara and shippo.

Some demons and humans doesn't treat him like a demon or human... so he wanted to be a demon so he can be full and be officially regognized that he's a demon..

He no longer wishes to become full demon. He originally wanted to in order to be stronger, then to protect Kagome, and now, he doesn't want to at all; Kagome convinced him that he is the way he is and best as he is.

Because deep down he wants to belong and doesnt want to be a disgrace to his demon heritage (he'd never admit it though).

because he always getting teased by other demons and he want to be stronger(partly so he can beat his half brother shessomeru, i don't know how to spell his name right....)
