Try gently wiping your daughter's tongue with a damp washcloth. If the area seems to be irritated or red there's a possibility she could have thrush. Thrush is an overgrowth of a yeast. Take a look at this site and see if it looks like the pictures.

first make sure that this isnt thrush second the hospital should have showed you how to do this take a warm rag and wipe her mouth out it may make her gag but it will get it out also instead of just milk give her a couple of drinks of water doctors say not to give them plain water but that is because they are idiots wipe her mouth out about 3 times a week by the way have you been informed about thrush this is caused when the baby's mouth doesnt get cleaned out and the baby is very unhappy you may want to look into this make sure when you are wippind this out her mouth doesnt start bleeding if it does stop and call her doctor

It sounds like she has thrush. An easy over the counter cure is gentian violet. You can get it at any drug store. the only drawback to this is it stains all the clothes that the baby is wearing. Put it on the affected area with Q-tip and it should be gone within a couple of days. My kids had thrush when they were little and this is what the pediatrician prescribed.
Good luck.

Thrush is an infection of the mouth caused by the candida fungus, also known as yeast. Candida infection is not limited to the mouth; it can occur in other parts of the body as well, causing diaper rash in infants or vaginal yeast infections in women.

Thrush can affect anyone, though it occurs most often in babies and toddlers, older adults, and people with weakened immune systemsThrush usually develops suddenly, but it may become chronic, persisting over a long period of time. A common sign of thrush is the presence of creamy white, slightly raised lesions in your mouth – usually on your tongue or inner cheeks – but also sometimes on the roof of your mouth, gums, tonsils, or back of your throat. The lesions, which may have a "cottage cheese" appearance, can be painful and may bleed slightly when you scrape them or brush your teeth. In severe cases, the lesions may spread into your esophagus, or swallowing tube.See your dentist or your doctor they can provide antifugal medications according to their age

Not to alarm you, but it sounds like it could be thrush, which is a type of yeast infection. Actually an overgrowth of yeast. It's not serious if treated, but can be quite painful. Her doc can prescribe some drops that you put in her mouth that should take care of it quickly. Don't delay...it will cause painful blisters all in her mouth if that's indeed what the condition is, and this could lead to her refusing to nurse. Better to be safe than sorry!

I think you should probly take her in and see the dr. I didn't know what it was with my first baby but it may be thrush. it causes sores in the mouth and it's actually VERY common to have it happen. They actually have this thing that you can put on your finger and brush the babys gums and tounge with. I'm sure you can find it in any store that has infant care items in it. good luck and I hope it all gets cleard up ok.

Sounds like thrush to me. That is a yeast infection of the mouth, fairly common and nothing to worry about but you need to get her into the doctor and get it taken care of ASAP.

That sounds like thrush. My daughter had it at about 2 months old and they just give you drops to put in her mouth and it will go away. I would check with your doctor. good luck

Are you sure it isn't thrush? I would maybe taker her into the doctor to make sure. Thrush is easily treated with antibiotics. Please take her in...formula shouldn't stick to the roof of her mouth. It really sounds like thrush.
