In cricket, can two players be out in the same ball?

Like for eg, lets say a caught_and_bowled and a run-out at the non-strikers end

Is something like this possible as per the rules of cricket or does the ball becomes dead (out_of_the_game) the instant its caught by any fielder?

What are the specific rules covering this issue ?

The specific rule covering this issue is, ball is declared dead as soon a batsman is given out, so if a bowler caught a ball of someone's bat , he is out and the ball is dead so he can't proceed to get the other run out as well.

In cricket two players cannot be given out for a same ball
as per u'r eg the striker who has caught by the fielder will be declared out .
as per the rule of cricket the will be be declared as dead after being caught by the fielder.
if the umpire declares it as a no-ball the run will be taken in to consideration.

yeah it is possible
suppose a match is starting and first bowl of amatch is a no bowl and one player gets runout so score will be 1 wicket without a legal ball is bowled.
next bowl legally is the first bowl of the over, and if a batsman get out on this ball than 2 batsman are out in the first ball of the over.
thanks for choosing my answer as the best
in advance
what you asked is about the way in which a legal ball can have two wicket,
its not possble as soon as one batsman gets out the bowl becomes dead.

hi friend,

the the basic rule of cricket is not allowed to out two player in a same ball.
however it is possible if a player get out and the next player takes more than two minutes to reach in the crease the umpire can give him out by the rule.

thanks

Yes it is possible however the time that it would take for the wicketkeeper or bowler to throw the ball to the other side might not be fast enough to get two consecutive run outs.
