it depends on what you do now
what is your passion in life?

would you be interested in teaching? perhaps become a substitute teacher :)

maybe you could dedicate yourself to the arts, maybe even create your own buisness

i wish i could be of more help, but i don't know what your interests are...all i can say is make sure you find something that is fulfilling, that really challenges you and respects the wisdom you have grown to attain :)

much respect + kudos on a lifetime of work!

Turn something you really enjoy into a cash generator! Even if you have video of far away places someone on Ebay may be willing to buy that video. Your experiences could be an ebook..You may have knowledge in some area that someone else can benefit from. You may end up making more money on the internet than you ever did working for someone else! There is plenty of info on the internet to get you started. Here is a great place to start.

Do what you wanted to do BEFORE realizing you wanted a family and had to get that "safe" job for with the retirement benefits you're about to enjoy. The majority of us drag up and drag on to our jobs, some never finding that one job they truly love doing.....go out and do what you want to.

Doing a job you truly love doing is NOT work at all; it's a fun activity of passion that makes one happy....and being happy goes a long way to sticking around longer.

Why on earth would you want to work after you retire! Spend your retirement playing golf, gardening and drinking cask wine (all the best retirees do!)

Volunteer work is great if you just want to keep busy and active! Very rewarding as well, if you are not relying on extra income. Good luck!
