although socks generally do go over the shin guards, some players like to put their shin guards over top of their socks. I, like many other players like to put the shin guards underneath the socks. Soccer socks are specially created for soccer so I would suggest using a pair of soccer socks.

Some tips: Work hard on trying to keep your head up. Dribbling with your head down is very unwise. Also, try to keep the ball close to your feet. Some great practice drills you can do are:
1. Pass against a wall, or get someone to pass with you so that you can get your touch better.
2. Set up cones, or any objects and practice dribbling around them.
3. Also, try to use the inside of your foot. When passing, as well as shooting, the inside of the foot generally gives you better accuracy.

hope this helps.

The sock is supposed to completely cover the shinguard, at least for most leagues. You can wear tube socks if they are long enough, but will probably want soccer socks. They are longer in the leg without being longer in the foot. In addition, they are designed to be absorbent and comfortable.

As for dribbling and handling, practice, practice, practice. The more touches you have on the ball, the better.
Some ideas are:
kick the ball against a wall and get your own rebound
Touch the top of the ball by alternating feet (key is to keep the ball stationary)

Good luck tomorrow~!

The socks go over the shin guards, and it would be a bit easier to wear soccer socks--yes you should get "soccer socks."

When you dribble you should not dribble the ball too far ahead of you, and you should have one dribble per step. When you pass, use the inside of your foot. When you shoot use the upper inside of your foot and aim carefully.

Good luck!

2.Shin guards have to be worn under socks in organized training, matches, etc.Otherwise ,no (park football, kickabouts, etc.)

3.Dribbling is an art perfected by those who train.Nevertheless,
a dribble is one of the most difficult ball skills to master and one of the most useful attacking moves. In typical game play, players attempt to propel the ball toward their opponents' goal through individual control of the ball, such as by dribbling (running with the ball close to their feet).

The ability to dribble is often invaluable especially in the third part of a pitch or at the wings, where most attacks take place. Dribbling creates space in tight situations where the dribbler is marked (closely guarded by a defender), and the dribbler can either create scoring chances or score him- or herself after a successful dribble. However, dribbling, if poorly mastered and used, may result in the loss of possession either when the ball is intercepted or tackled by a defender.

When used appropriately, a good dribbler is often hard to dispossess; unsuccessful tackles (which does not reach the ball) may result in a useful free kick situation, a yellow card for the offender, or both. You can use the top of your foot for sprinting or the side of your foot for preparation for tricks.

4.Ball handling.Kicks:Use the side of your foot for short, accurate passes.
Tricks:An easy trick is the dummy where you feint to one side and move to the other or the stepover also known as the lollipop..
There are many other tricks but the two most basic ones are these. You can view a few vidos on stepovers at youtube. The address is below.

Yes, the socks go over the shin guards and I have always worn "soccer socks" while I played.

Dont dribble the ball too far ahead of you and use both the inside and outside of your feet to dribble.

I've always played with the soccer socks. They help hold the shin guards in place sometimes.
Use the inside of your foot when trying to make a precision shot and use the front part for power shots. "Practice makes perfect"

Use the 'soccer socks'

And make sure when U play, kick using the inside of your feet- dont use the tip or u might get off-target or accidentally 'blast' the ball too hard.
