There are two kinds of beings that are sometimes meant by this term. Many people think they are the same thing, but they're not.

A shadow person is a being seen as a silhouette. they can look like anything, but are always percieved as the shadow of a person. They seem to have their own motivations, the same as any normal people would. In other words, they might not mean any harm, but then again they might.

Something else that some people call a shadow person I call. . . something else. These are hooded beings that don't look like a silhouette- they look like an empty robe. they are freaky as anything and do seem to mean harm. They also seem to be more physically present than the other variety, which are barely there at all.

If you do a search for shadow people on the net you will get a ton and a half of personal stories from people concerning both these kinds of being.

In paranormal terms they are the shadows you catch out of the corner of your eyes or see go pass you real quick. They are like shadows in appearance.
Or it could refer to your subconscious mind and that part of yourself that stays hidden, and talks to you in your dreams.

The Islam religion calls them Djinns.

Basicly they are parasites, and evil. They basicly feel off your lifeforce your ch'i, and they can put all kinds of thoughts in your head. Thoughts of worthless, helpless, fear, etc. the more negative your mind is; the tastier your energy is to them.

You seriously need a priest or exorcist to come do a house blessing or exorcism.
