U.S. military would capture or kill Osama bin Laden, adding, "I don't know that it's all that important, frankly."

Why is not capturing or killing the man responsible for 9-11 not important? Doesn't justice matter anymore???

No idea. He doesn't realize what the people want, like most politicians. Obviously he is in the wrong field.

Depends if your after justice or simple revenge. Going on just what you said it would be my guess the the officer was thinking along the terms that Bin Laden was no longer a primary tactical target due to the fact that he has been rendered practically ineffectual in the war since Afghanistan was liberated. Just a guess on my part of course. Wouldn't be surprised if the consensus among the top brass was that the bastard was dead and rotting in some unknown cave. Or perhaps its all a ploy to draw him out. Until they have solid proof as to what his status is you can bet that the Brass are not going to give anyone to much information nor should they. After all we do know how the NYT loves to let the world know what our battle plans are.

The question is of mindset. US already have created an anti-US mindeset in whole world much before 9/11; Osama is no more active there are thousand more Osamas stiving to destroy US.

What is imporatnt is that US should stop bullying..That's solution of all issues.

Because if they caught Bin Laden, all the terrorists would lay down their guns like movie Injuns when their chief gets killed. It would be the end of the War on Terror, and therefore no more money for Halliburton.

He is parroting his CIC, Bush The Magnificent. Al Qaeda was the target, Afghanistan was the battle ground. But for practical reasons now that we are stuck in this hell hole know as Iraq, we can't expend the resources it takes to go after the architect of 9/11. More of the fools, Bush and Cheney.

the guy is a 4star. Well, they really don't have any info on him.
I personally think the guy is dead or O. Bin Laden would have a weekly video tape of him showing off for the TV

Blind Bushbaby, Osama Bin Ladin is not responsible, Bush and his PNAC cronies are. That's why it has NEVER been 'that important'.
