Even though I don't like to go to the dr but know I must because of the number of health issues I have I find that my gynecologist and her staff makes my experience there a very pleasant one. And if I am feeling especially bad the day I go in there I can count on my mood being a bit lighter after I leave because I can count on something they say (even if it's not meant for me but can still hear it) to make me laugh.

Bad. I don't like to be touched by people I don't know. What is a doctor? A person I don't know whose whole job it is to touch me. Ew. The last time I went was for a sinus infection, and the guy tapped my forehead with his fingertip several times. What are you? My doctor or my pesky little brother? How annoying. Plus, I'm a tiny little hypochondriac and so manage to convince myself that something innocuous like a sinus infection is actually some sort of rare nose cancer. But still I go. And so should you, if that's the question.

I've always hated going to the doctor ever since I was little.
It makes me nervous because my doctor is a man and I hate being poked around by guys (particularly an old guy).

It has never bothered me. People have to go to the doctor! If you don't feel comfortable with your doctor, perhaps you should think about finding a new one... Unless that isn't what your question is about!
