I've got a few. I'm a high school baseball coach and my team does a clinic for the local elementary schools, here's some of their favorites! 1. Alligator Arms- (very much like The Florida Gator "Chomp") Teaches kids to shield their face if they get a bad hop, gives them confidence to stay down on the ball. 2. Take off their hats and put the bill of the hat in the athlete's mouth while fielding. This teaches the fielder to keep their head down while fielding. 3. C.C.B.F.S.T. drill- stands for creep step, charge, breakdown, field, scare crow, throw. These are the essential six essential steps for fielding and preparing to throw. Hope this helps you.

Getting the players just to learn to which base to run to is a chore, how to cover first base to take a throw, getting in proper position to field a ground ball, and play lots of catch,my son is 7 and has been in T-Ball,this up-coming year will be his 4th year.As a coach I'm amazed at the advancement from the beginning of the season to the end is amazing

Paddles, never too young to learn how to field with soft hands.
