If you aren't true to your dreams, and let people make you feel guilty about pursuing them, for whatever reason, or maybe there jealous, then in the end you will only resent them. Don't ever lose your dreams. Keep up the determination,,,,,,, It will bring you your true happiness- in the end, and happiness is everything, I don't care what anyone tells you. Go for it.

No, I certainly wouldn't use the word vain to describe you. I would rather describe you as being practical (you have determined the behaviors which seem to get you the best results and you stick with them.) Being goal orientated is a very good, you set your priorities and go for them and achieve them.

Why do you consider these qualities to be an indication that you are vain? A vain person has an exaggerated sense of self-importance,and only considers her accomplishments. If you are continually setting new goals for yourself, then you are not dwelling on your past accomplishments, but rather, focusing on the future, which is certainly a very good quality to posssess in our constantly changing world.

As long as your willing to at the very least consider other people's ideas and ways of life, then your fine. Just don't let your goals interfere with friendships and relationships.

No. I don't really know you. There maybe other reasons to call you vain, but not for either of the reasons you mentioned.

That wouldn't make you vain. That would make you smart. Vain would be if you were shallow and judge mental to those less fortunate.
