ok if you have your restore cd. put it in your computer (before that anything you want to back up do it becase after this everything will be gone) and restart. if your pc is set to boot first from the cd then click any key when it asks you to, and follow the instructions on your computer. if you happen to have your OS cd follow the same instructions and when it asks you where to install,choose the same partition where you installed the previous one. but instead of installing first delete that partition and format it. then install there. and the rest is easy.

Copy off all your files.
Insert the Windows XP CD
reboot to the CD.
It will prompt you to:
delete the partitions
format
and install XP.
That simple.

system folder in windows cannot be deleted...you have two options first system restore your pc to when your computer works normal 2nd make a fresh installation. hope it helps.
