I'm in Sales and I wear a shirt under my suit. it looks more professional
But I also wear a fitted cotton shirt or a skivvy.
It really depends on the cut & colour of the suit.
In Pretty Women, Julia Roberts wore both a brown suit with white blouse & then she wore a black suit with white T shirt underneath, so the choice is yours.

Not anymore you don't. The need to wear collars and little bows is luckily gone with the wind. Just as long as you don't wear a torn tee, and you wear something nice, you will be fine. You can certainly get along with a turtleneck or a nice sweater with a nice neckline. Infact, probably looks better than an oldfashioned collar shirt. Be modern

no you don't. i go to court every week and see many women with suits...they usually wear nice dressy tops inside. it looks really good.
