tell her to put some toothpaste on them every night from now until the date. tell her to not pop them cause that will leave scars. obviously makeup does make it worse, but a date is grounds for an emergency. so cover them with concealer or a little bit of foundation. not too much though cause then they will be obvious. just make sure you tell her to put the toothpaste on them so they start going away. DONT POP THEM!
so they go away for good, proactiv works.

Honey, honey! Make a paste- 3 parts honey, one part cinnamon powder. Apply this paste covered by bandaids on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the root.
Also, use PLAIN Dove soap on skin to wash your face.
For the date - The light green concealers (I know it sounds weird)
really reduces redness Just a light touch goes a long way. Do not put too much- it IS green and you will be able to tell a bit if you put too much. And believe it or not Visine 'Gets the red out' of zits too. Put that on first then concealer then base. Powder if you want but the matte look is kinda out right now..
Pop the zits that are still present just before applying make-up before the date(if done before hand they will scab and her make-up will look crusty). Keep Neosporin on any that are popped previously.Be sure to use HOT water and Dove to wash your face as soon as you get home so the make-up doesn't cake up in your pores.
Also, warm showers open your pores so you can get a deeper clean. Before you get out though stand in water as cold as you can stand it to close the pores back. This is good advice for EVERYONE.

Makeup will only make the problem worse.
Treating the skin to deep cleaning treatments - such as clay masks with dead sea salts (both are cheap at your local herb store and can be mixed easily together at home) will help clean her skin, get rid of the pimples and make her skin softer.
Washing the face with gentle, nonabrasive face soaps a couple of times daily will help get rid of the shine and excess oil.

DON'T EVER POP PIMPLES!!!!! it will just make them spread and worsen. To get rid of them tell her to wash her face with anti bacterial soap and/or pore scrube. There are also products from neutragena that you put on the zits over night. that usually works for me in 3 days or less.

I suggest you use a cream to powder foundation that is oil - free or non-comedogenic. These types of foundation are enriched with oil absorbers. But if you want maximum coverage than i suggest a stick foundation. Stick foundations are foundation and concealer in one. It offers ideal maximum coverage for imperfections as well as covering ruddy and uneven skin tones

well k I know some things that really help me along with toothpaste, when she washes her face at night have her rub it with rubbing alcohol. put it on a cotton ball and just rub it on her face. it really removes dirt. also if by any chance she did pop her zits, put neo-sporitin on them! if you put a little bit of salt water on the zit with a q-tip and then let it sit for about 10 seconds and then wash your face with a face washing cream that helps, and also, to get rid of the redness of the zit(especially if you popped it already) put redness removing eye drops on the zit! trust me it really works!

don't put anything...you'll only make it worse. just wash face with soap, and have a nice long nap. Probaly won't go away right away, but it will help fade it. (AND don't NOT pop the pimples...you'll end up with ugly dents that will scar your face for life, i have one on my forehead)
