I'd be honored to build a house with Jimmy Carter. No matter where the location is. Anytime you are serving others, you are serving God.

I already know where San Ysidro is. I doubt that they would allow Habitat in there.

I would build a house with President Carter (last President we had who was/is an honorable man).

I've heard that things slow down when he is on site, yes he is getting along, so am I, but I can still hit the nails without choking the hammer.

If Mr Carter's Habitat determined that a house was needed in San Ysidro, CA, then I'd be honored to donate my time and help. However, since I can't even pound a nail, and lack the skills to even paint a wall, it's doubtful that my assistance would be needed.

Of course....

just because there may be illegal immigrants there (and I assume this is what you are implying) doesn't mean there aren't people there who need our help and contribution.

and just because the people you may help may be illegal immigrants doesn't mean they don't need help...it is not their fault that their country is in shambles and that the US immigration sux.

if the US empire fell and you were a hard worker striving to find a country and government that would appreciate your ethic, wouldn't you be willing to bend/break a few rules for your best existence????

Maybe,if he bought the beer afterwards and not that Billy Beer s**t he probably keeps in his trunk for decades. If he started babbling about Palestine,I might have to drop a hammer on him.

BTW,look at my avatar in honor of him. Mr. Peanuts.

No way! Jimmy Carter is pretty old. If you built a house with him, it would probably collapse. Better to use wood and brick.

Probably, although I do not like Jimmy Carter. How much does he pay by the hour, or is he hiring illegals too?

It depends. Is he union?

Don't get me wrong - I love the man as if he were my own spotty, drooling, incontinent grandfather. But if he's building houses and isn't a dues-paying member of a construction workers union, it makes him a SCAB.

I eat scabs. I don't work with them.
