i'm doing this project for my business class and i can't think of any legal issues you would have to be aware or prepare for. the only thing i can think of is like if you give someone a manicure and ur tools weren't clean and they get a fungus or something on their finger. can u think of any other possibilities?

Slip and fall on wet floor or hair on floor; chemical burns from products used; state/county/city penalties for not complying with health and safety codes.

Other random legal issues: insurance for the business; potential lawsuits by employees against you; if an employee is driving on work business and gets into a car accident (you could end up having to be responsible); tax issues, etc.

Good luck!

Burns from hot wax... I've heard of major infections from unsterilized instruments. Also, if a salon does acrylic nails, one of the adhesives destroys the nails. Don't forget the standard slip and fall issues.

The first thing you need is liability insurance. What if someone slipped and fell in your store?
