There are some tricks that may help you. First eat small meals throughout the day, do not wait until you get hungry. Ginger is great for nausea and vomiting. You can get whole ginger root at the grocery store, cut a piece off and peel it, and let it steep in boiling water to make a tea(add some honey for sweetness) or you can buy ginger candies called Gin gins. These can be found in whole food stores, Asian markets and health food stores. Or you can buy directly from the manufacturer at http://www.gingerpeople.com/ This website also has some recipes and hints for you.
Make sure you drink plenty of fluids so that you stay hydrated. If the vomiting does not get better let your doctor know. He may want to admit you so you can receive IV fluids. Dehydration can be very dangerous, especially when pregnant.
Good luck.

First of all, go to my favorite web sites: www.americanpregnancy.org and www.babycenter.com. They have tons of information on everything pregnancy related. I tried eating very small amounts of food - when I was really bad it was just saltine crackers. Ginger Ale seemed to help. Also, you can get these motion sickness bands to wear like a bracelet that are supposed to work. If it gets so bad that you can't keep anything down, there should be something out there that your doctor can prescribe for you. Good luck!

Yes, I would!!! Actually, I was. I had horrible nausea and vomiting the first three months of my pregnancy, and then I couldn't stand the smell of meat cooking the other six months. My husband couldn't even eat near me because I'd be running like heck towards the nearest bathroom.

I don't know how serious your vomiting is, but I was actually losing weight because of my morning (all day) sickness. My doctor prescribed Zofran for me. It is an anti-nausea medicine that is usually used for cancer patients who are receiving chemotherapy. When nothing else worked this really did.
Good luck!

I was really sick also, and I took emetrol, it is over the counter, you will probably have to ask your doctor first, but you should also try brushing your teeth several times a day, when your pregnant you produce more saliva, and it makes some people sick to their stomach, and try to eat a few saltine crackers in the morning when you first wake up, peanut butter is also good it coats your stomach, but most importantly, do not allow yourself to get hungry, even if you don't feel like eating, being hungry can also make you sick, and dry heaving can make you have contractions

I know that people have already said to Drink ginger ale which is good. I was the same way when I was pregnant, to the point that I lost 40 pounds cause it was hard to keep food down. Anyways my dr said to try ginger, or ginger capsules, these are natural so you shouldn't have any problems with allergies. I hope you feel better, Best of luck

try pickles . another great remedy is to eat pickled lemons. u just hav 2 cut lemons into halves and place them in a dry jar . sprinkle enough salt on the lemons so as 2 cover them . make alternate layers of lemon halves and salt such that the last layer is that of salt . keep the jar in sunlite 4 about a week until the lemons r soft and the salt has dissolved. eat these lemons in the morning as well as at any other time of the day whenever u feel nauseous. its good 4 indigestion and also removes the metallic taste in ur mouth. try it out its really mouth watering and effective too.
u can also go for vit B 12caps . they r prescribed 4 nausea during pregnancy

I was very sick the first trimester and into the 2nd with all of my pregnancies...currently on pregnancy # 4! Eat crackers, you'll get tired of eating them, but they do work. Also, try what are known as sea-bands. You can get them at almost any drug store over the counter. They were invented as a motion sickness aid (For the seasick), and caught on with pregnant women! They really do work! It is accupressure technology. They put pressure on a certain spot on your wrists. They cost around ten dollars for the pair, but worth every penny. I also recommend hot chamomile tea, or ginger tea. With me, nothing took away my nauseasnous entirely, but any little bit of relief i could get, helped. Good luck to you!!!

I drank ginger ale often...it seemed to help. If you're vomiting a lot, make sure you remain hydrated...drink lots of water...eating small frequent meals may help (although I couldn't even keep those down). I've also heard that hard candy can help.
