People who say this understand what a "theory" in science is and understand how the theory of evolution operates.

It is a fact - it is not a theory. It does occur. The theory is natural selection, the explanation of the mechanism of evolution that is most wholly supported by the evidence at hand. Those that oppose the entire concept of evolutionary process are the ones who like to label evolution as a theory and then accuse those who support the theory of natural selection as "pro-evolution", anti-god or suggest that "pro-evolutionists" believe that we are "descended from monkeys".

It's all about distraction, labeling and vilification and manipulation. It's never about science or the truth.

People who say evolution is a fact are mostly just expressing their own personal opinion. Creation is another "theory" that is taught, although I personally believe it to be fact. Creation and evolution are both taught as theories, so you can decide for yourself which one you think is fact.

They're evolutionists, for one. Secondly, evolution is backed up by a huge assortment of evidence while other ideas are just speculations made to assuage the religious. Not to mention, evolution is completely plausible. I can find nothing wrong with the theory. This stuff can be tested while religious perspectives cannot. Therefore, the theory of Evolution is just about as good as fact.

you just opened pandoras box. theres no way to convince someone bout this. just believe in what you know. science gives us convenience and breakthroughs but belief gives us our soul. science has never inspired anything breathtaking or moving. do what you know is right and live by it. nothing more you can do.

P.S. just b/c so many buy something doesnt mean its right or wrong.
