It worked for Ronald Reagan and Arnold and they got elected, but as for "good" you might have a hard time defining just exactly what constitutes a "good" politician. They are all actors to an extent, but I would like to believe some have the interests of the general public in mind, I define a good politician as one who remembers it's the people he/she is elected to represent not corporate big business.

Many politicians ARE actors... and when they are found to be false they should be removed...
But media control keeps the focus on Actors... and not politicians and the government.
I hear that NBC's parent company is also involved in some sort of war profiteering... know anything about that, anyone?

If they already have the traits that make them a good leader. Not all actors have these traits. They may have real acting talent, but zero talent when it comes to leading people. Sometimes they think that their acting talent is all they'll need, and forget the other work that comes with the territory.

I think they can make great politicians they are used to public speaking and being in the public eye and it doesn't hurt that they are easy on the eyes.
