As far as I know there are no True electric eels. Most eels do not possess any apparatus that can produce electricity.

The electric eel, or Electrophorus electricus, is a freshwater fish, not a true eel but a fish. they are most notable for their astounding ability to generate an incredible amount of electricity Upwards of 600V

Morays do not possess any apparatus that can produce electricity. Most don't.

The Electric Catfish (Malapterurus electricus): 350V
The Electric Ray (Torpedo torpedo 200V

There are eels without electric - and there are electric fish that aren't eels!

The "electric eel" isn't an eel at all, just "eel-like" in appearance. It's a relative of knifefish (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=857), a tropical aquarium fish, which also has a mild electric current that it uses to navigate. There's also an electric catfish that produces a noticeable charge: http://whozoo.org/Intro2000/tashcorm/tempagetwo.htm

Besides knifefish, anothr tropical fish, the elephant nose, also uses a very mild electrical field: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1882

Some "eels" that aren't electric: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1026, http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/scateg.cfm?pCatId=29

I think there are a number of eels with no electric charge to speak of, I once had a really ugly electric fish, I gave it to my nephew who used to shock all his friends
