Read any book on socialogy. It says that there are two
traditional systems for family which are spread
throughout the world. What you have observed is
'patriarchy', most tribes follow it. The title or
surname is traced through the male line. In matriarchy,
the reverse occurs - man has to leave his home to
join the woman's family. A female is the family head
and title is traced through the female line. Such
tribes exist in India also. These are ancient
traditions which existed since time immemorial.

Where I am from almost all the people I know who are married lived together first. The ones who didn't moved out of their separate places and chose on together. I know in some parts of the world women move into a mans family home as it is the sons duty to take care of his family (mom, dad, grandparents etc)and the wife must then follow the husband. That is common in patriarchal societies.

I think people go where the butter is buttered nicest. If the girl were to bring a spectacular home and the guy a hovel to the relationship I know which place most guys today would like to go!
You sometimes come into difficulty whith some guys who feel threatened by women who are more successful financially then they are. Chances are, if that is the case, the relationship would not of made it to the alter.
SO I dont' think what you are saying is true at all in this day of the successful business woman!

Most world cultures originated as farming communities. Across the globe, men did the physical labor needed to keep glow the livelihood. Women assisted men with intervals to bare children. Economical forces are the same across the world, so the solution originated is the same too. Its far more practical for men to keep working the land and let the women change places. This will not disturb the economic continuity of the family or the community.
It is so engraved in us. Its difficult to change it.

First of all, it is a mistake to say "all over the world women go to husbands house..". In Europe and anglo countries young people usually co-habit first. This usually means sharing an apartment because they are still quite young, attending university, and so on. There is insufficient money for a downpayment on a home.
This is more traditional in eastern cultures. Is has been done - in part - because this way the wife is cut off from the support of her own biological family. She is more easy to control this way; she has fewer outside resources available to her.

Historically women didn't own property. They'd get hitched at a young age and go straight from Mommy and Daddy to Hubby. Even now women get married at a younger age than men, and thus have less time to attain a house than their husbands do. And hell, if I knew I could count on finding someone to provide for me, I wouldn't bother blowing loads of cash on a home.

By God's will, man is the natural protector and guardian of woman who should rear children to make a healthy nation; mother is the first teacher of every human. That is a great role, which man cannot perform. A man begins a home and the woman acts as the queen of her house. It is nature. When the nature is flouted, the 'family' is ruined. The concept of ' a family' is lost. Here, the East has something to teach to the West.

as in the Biblical dayd Husbands provide for their wives.History continues. women wasn't allowed to accumulate anything. posesssions remained in the husbands family.
