Hello doinky37,

On your Mac, normally you would simply launch Font Book that is located in your Applications Folder to get your fonts to be recognize and not conflicting with each other. However, you could conceivably drag a copy of your other fonts into where the Word font files are located.

Mac OS X has a ton of different areas where it keeps it's fonts. In the case of Microsoft Word for the Mac it would be located in it's own Font folder located in the Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support.

I'm not sure what Microsoft Word would be called from in there, but the Font folder should be inside that. Also, it might be located in your own user account's Library section.

You could easily do a File > Find... menu command (or use Spotlight if you're using Tiger) to search the name of one of a specific Microsoft Word font to find where it's kept. Best of luck to you.

P.S. You might have a problem communicating with your Windows friends if you use the non-Microsoft Word fonts inside Word documents.
