I'm in my school's theatre program, and tomorrow is our last performance. After our performance, we have a meeting in the auditorium where we talk about the show, and then we're having a company meeting at one of the cast member's house. Our show starts at 8:00(pm), and by the time everything gets organized after the show is done, and we get to the house, the party will start at 10:30 and will probably end at 12:00. I think I should be able 2 go b/c it's the Company Party, but my mom thinks that 12 o' clock is too late. I could see if it was like a regular like club party, but it's a company party for everyone who was involved. It will be chaperoned by the directors and such ppl. The party is a 27- year old tradition and in those 27 years the police have only been called once, and it was because of the music. What do you think???

I think its too late, but how old are you?

I think age has something to do with it.

I think if your mom is worried so much invite her along as a chaperone! That way she can monitor what you are doing and she wont have to worry about you being out late because she will be there with you. It is kind of late to be out and im not sure why a school would have kids that young out that late but since there are chaperones I wouldnt think there would be a problem with it. Tell your mom that it is very important to you and invite her along! Hope everything goes well for you! Break a leg!

My gosh, how young of a teen. In my state the curfew for anyone under 17 is 11 on weekends and 10 on week nights. Some things are understandable. To tell you the truth as a parent, I might let my child go but I would pick them up earlier than 12 and tell them to be glad they got to go at all, having a party that starts so late isn't even a good idea.

It depends on how young the teen is. But maybe your mom would feel better talking to some of the people that would be chaperoning it. Maybe you can even compromise and leave at 11 or 11:30

I think that you should be allowed to go.. i mean theres no harm in going to a company party WITH chaperones..
She should let you go. I know what she means about the 12 0'clock thing. she seems like a nice mother[[she cares]]

good luck =]

I am a mom of teenage girls. Normally I would say that that is too late, but I think this should be an exception. I think you should let your mom read all of your answers! So, mom call the theater director and have a talk with him and then let your daughter go to this. Blessings to you!

At first glance I would have said 'yes,' but you have special circumstances here, that your mom should be aware of. Will your mom pick you up, or will everyone be driven home in a schoolbus, etc.? You should have a school official call your mom and explain everything--and, after all, it is on the weekend.

I agree with TX_KT and with QuestionA. but midnight does seem a little late for a teen to be out. there is a thing called a curfew, and i would think the teachers should know what time it was. Have fun.

How old are you---& how old are other cast members?
If you are 15 or less, and others (male) are older, you should leave after a brief hello.

Honey, there are males out there HOPING girls like you are out late.....go home early & save a lot of grief for a lot of people---including you!
