It would probably be a while from now, but if it happened, that would be amazing. Using little machines to renew and wake the dead cells. That would show us that technology has come a long way It would be great, because that would mean there are probably also ways to fix spinal cord, brain injuries, etc. This would also mean that we have probably come even farther in stem cell research. It took a short question to get me deep into thought! Thank you and God Bless you! You had a good question that got me thinking!

Then the world would be truly a cold hearted place. that will be the day hell freezes over. Going back to the ice age would be disasterous for mankind because we are spoiled beyond belief, and besides they say the earth is getting warmer. How is the freezing going to last through the warm spell that they say is coming. You may be frozen but your remains may have to be stored in cool underground caves for about 300 years. Do you think the cost of the freezing can be maintained for that length of time. I like the idea but it could also be done in outer space with very little cost involved at all. You and thousands of others would be loaded into a space craft, blasted off into orbit set to return close to earth in 2310. At that time your bodies would be retrieved from orbit, thawed and presto there you are in 2310, homeless, no money and quite different from everyone else, is it going to be worth it?

If cryogenic suspension became a reality we would have the stars.

Oh, and cures for most diseases.

Oh, and immortality.

It would be expensive and futile.
The electrical impulses that make up our consciousness would stop and though your body may seem OK you could never be revived.

I would recommend George W for it so that we could thaw him out when we find a use for him.
