My Mp3 player has song that won't remove?

Can anyone help? I have tried deleting eveything from it and they stayed on. What do I do?

if it is a Sansa player:
My COmputer>MP3 Player Icon> Select songs. Right click. Delete.

In the MP3 player go to seetings and then RESET ALL (it might work but I'm guessing you would delete all the songs :P
