i began sitting at the latino table at school and i am just a little bit latino, like my mom was born in a latino country but thats it. does that give me a reputation or something, what will people say?

its whatever you want it to be ... you are part latino .. then .. why not go sit with them ? doesn't mean you cant sit with other groups anymore ..

my highschool was the same.. we were all divided .. but i had friends everywhere.. i just floated around from lunch to lunch

First: why is there a "latino" table at your school?

Anyway, no. If anybody makes any snide comment about it, tell them off strongly.

If you feel uncomfortable you should choose a different table.

do you want to be seen as latino?
if so sit at the table
if not, move to another, like sit with your freinds

hey i am white and i grew up in a hispanic neighborhood, so i was always around them.i learned spanish and am now a bilingual teacher! there were times when i got called a wanna-be,but i just hung around with the people that accepted me for me! love yourself and don't let anyone sway your love for other cultures!

we are all mixed with something. i think that you recognizing your background and heritage is great. but dont let it make you. you are what makes you important not your race or background
