Jimmy Page shows the greatest resources of musicianship out of those on your revised list. The best guitarist that I have heard an album by, however, is Joe Satriani, who has more of everything than any of my personal favourites have of anything. To listen to, I prefer players with enough sense of their own style not to bother pushing too hard at their limits e.g. Clapton, Santana, Kossoff, Rossington and indeed nos.2-6 of your own list.

To answer the question within your guidelines (limited to these 5) I rate them as follows, from best (1) to worst (5)
1: Jimi Hendrix
2: Stevie Ray Vaughn
3: Eddie Van Halen
4: Angus Young
5: Zakk Wylde

I pretty much rate them based on the difficulty of their music. Honestly, I wish I were as good as Angus, but he's really not that GREAT of a player. Everything he's done is in the same key. Hendrix laid the foundation for guitarists to come, he revolutionized electric guitar and improvization. Look at the link, it's Rolling Stone's list of the top 100 guitarits. I'm going to list these 5. If you want to hear some great, difficult, shredding guitar solos or songs, check out these 5:

1: Jimi Hendrix (You've already got him though)
2: Eric Clapton (Cream, Blind Faith, Delaney and Bonnie and Friends, Derek and the Dominoes, and solo work)
3: Jimmy Page (of Led Zeppelin)
4: Duane Allman (Early Allman Brothers and he played along with Clapton in Derek and the Dominoes; he's considered the greatest slide guitar player of all time)
5: Brian May (of Queen)

You might also want to include Tony Iommi (from Black Sabbath, the original guitarist for Osbourne) and Randy Rhodes (guitarist for Osbourne as well, did "Crazy Train"). In my opinion (and Rolling Stone's), they're both better than Wylde.

well i would say none of them are the best. your opinion of music sucks and this is why. to include ozzy or ac/dc in any best guitarist ever list...you must be a fool. you already point out the fact that you are either 16, or you have learned nothing over the years. van halen wasn't that good. he needed help on a lot of tracks even though you say he can "thrash". stevie ray is the "best" on your list, a pretty good guitarist, but no where near the top of a list. you spelled hendrix wrong, so i guess that covers that. he was just the first to discover distortion. it could have been anyone really. your question doesn't make sense anyway. "which of these 5 guitarist are the worlds best guitarists." so my answer is any of them, and grow up.

Fastness does no longer mean he's powerful, anybody that practices adequate can benefit substantial speed.it rather is between the consumer-friendly misconceptions. Improvising, confident no longer many human beings can guard improvising instant. regrettably a solid guitar participant calls for extra advantageous than a million element. Versatiliy- from what your saying, the undeniable fact that he's able to construct categories is a plus,IF he's customary with of the thank you to do it properly, its extra ideal to correctly known the thank you to construct some genres exeptionaly properly, then have the means to construct all varieties so-so. @bbal, i'm fairly already conscious of a few of his works, my criticism approximately him is that he lacks some style of melody, tone. it appears like he only "shredding" and not in all risk installation a melodic song. yet its your opinion in case you like that sound. and im no longer even attempting to bag on your tastes,as an occasion, i like Dave Mustaines enjoying yet each so often he does a similar a buckethead, only shreds away and it sounds sloppy.
