I'm excited about the KEPLER mission, due to launch next year, which by most estimates will be able to discover several HUNDRED terrestrial size planets in Earth similar orbits around Sun-like stars. That will take about 10 years worth of data.

none, we know all the planets near us. The others are too far to ever even see. we assume some exist around every star, but the strongest of instruments can't get any experience of them.
