battlefield 2 keeps telling me to insert disc 2 and it is in, what gives?

I have a brand new laptop with more than adaquate specs. the only thing I see that could be wrong is that I have windows vista. I have put full access put to the installed folders as well as tried running it as an administrator and it still keeps telling me to insert disc 2. I have been trying for over an hour to get this thing going and I am getting really mad, please help. I have even switched it to windows xp service pack 2 compatability mode.

Maybe it has a crack or deviance check inside the CD , DON'T AUTOPLAY OPEN IT BY RIGHT CLICK, then check inside the ddeviance or crack folder then copy all things inside, then paster it on the folder of battlefield 2

Hi don't worry you'll fix it for sure. You remind me of myself I too just got an amd duo core laptop and the same thing happened to me.

There are 2 solutions.
WHAT I DID....
You will notice that when its done copying disc 1 it ask for disc 2. Thats when I had the problem. I put the disc in but it wouldn't read from it. So I tried waiting about 30 seconds AFTER I put the disc 2 in. It seems like it takes a while for the disc to start spinning and then hit continue to install disc 2. I had to do this 3 times and it finally went through. If that doesn't work try below..

WHAT EAGAMES.COM SAYS TO DO..
If you go to eagames site it will show you how what you do is make a directory on your hardrive for example like bf1 bf2 bf3 for the 3 cd's then you copy cd1 into bf1 and cd2 into bf2 etc..

Then you run the install from your hard drive and NOT the cd's

Also when you get into bf2 be prepared to get KICKED by punkbuster. You'll get an error saying INSUFFICIENT OS PRIVELAGES if you are running vista so what you do to fix that is go to the exact icon you click to run bf2. Then click on advanced and make sure RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR IS CHECKED in the box. Then when you go into bf2 you wont get bumped.

I would say your cdrom is not reading or you need to reinstall the game.
