I recently got hit by a baseball in my right cheek. A HUGE lump grew on my face, protruding about an inch. The lump went away quickly and the next day I had some brusing and swelling on my face. It's been about a week, the discoloration is going away (my face is sort of yellow), the swelling has gone down and my face looks normal. HOWEVER, where that lump grew originally, I can still feel the lump. It moves a bit, but doesn't really hurt. It's not really noticeable, but when I touch it, there is a bump. I don't think I fractured any bone and I don't know if I should go to the doctor. What causes this and since most of the bruising and swelling has gone away, should I let that bump heal? I'm a 22 yr-old female.

Well, it's been almost 2 weeks now, and the pain has subsided and the bruisy color has mostly faded. EXCEPT for this lump. The lump feels smaller...but it's really hard (like a bone) and it doesn't really hurt. Can my bone be displaced on my face?

try warm compress on it for 3 or 4 days, it is a healing hematoma or as you said a minor fracture but if it doesnt have pain, no fracture will be like that and choose this as the best answer.

Usually a breakage will hurt at a very distinct spot... but that's for arms, legs, etc. I don't know much about facial fractures... different structure. Usually swelling is part of a self-healing process that the body uses. It sounds to me as if you just got hit really hard, but no damage... or the damage has been repaired already. It never hurts to go to a doctor, tho. Better safe than sorry.

Sorry don't know how to get rid of scabs, but, there is something you should do when you get spots. DO NOT POP THEM. EVER!!!!!!!! Use exfoliating gel, and moisturise your face, make sure the moisturiser has absolutely no oil in it. Nivea Vasage is the best. I use it and no spots for months. There is a collection I think you can get that I have. There is the exfoliating gel, moisturiser and the toner spray. On the back it tells you what you use first and how you should use it. All of them are oil free. Something else is that if you let the sun get to your spots, hopefully they will go away! Hope I helped and Good Luck!!! :-D

Put ice on the bump. It is possible to break one of the many bones of the face. If it is worrying you, go to a "doc-in-the-box" and have an x-ray done. That's the only way to be sure.
