Yes. Indeed it is. But not probably in the way you are thinking.

We are in probably two different time zones, seperated by miles and miles. Yet I know without any spoken words passing between us that you are wondering if it is possible to read people's minds.

To use the example (as best as I can remember it) cited by Stephen King in one of his books on writing. Picture a table with a red tablecloth on it, a glass vase, and a candle.

We have both now shared a mental experience. We have, so to speak, read each other's minds. Our seperate views of this table might give or take a few detail differences, such as the particular shade of red, I thought candy apple, maybe you thought more scarlet, wine shade, or maybe your glass vase is much more detailed and fancy than mine, but we still shared that vision with no spoken word passing between us.

We have spent years as a race trying to find ways to read each others mind, when the real practice has been around for eons right in front of our noses, the written word!

Yes if you are observant enough and employ the Sherlock Homesian method. Yogis of India too are said to be endowed with this mind reading ability.

If you know someone very well, SOMETIMES you might know what he or she is thinking, or you might be able to finish a sentence they start, but beyond that, no, it is not possible to read other's minds!
