I broke my neck and left arm in a very very bad motorcycle accident on Feb2. It has been a struggle but I have gotten completely off of the narcotic pain medication. Even with a small amount (vicodin and such) you should be ok to ride. Just take it slow. If you aren't sure, ask your doctor. I'm certainly not qualified to answer this question. I couldn't ride if I had to to save my life right now. Good luck!

it depends whether a doctor has prescribed it, what the dosage is and what it is for. i take alot myself for bulging discs and bone spurs in my neck and back, as well as morphine sulphate and ride a kx85 (which is not a slow bike) i ride with my husband and my son and we are all pretty hot riders. i crash less than they do, they are occasionally waiting on a trail for me but they are occasionally following me also. there are too many factors to give you an accurate answer. good luck. do what you are comfortable and dont do what you feel you cant do safely

My advice: Take the bus, hitch a ride with someone else, or just stay home & watch movies.

No, and if you get into an altercation or pulled over ,and if they find out threw blood, urine , or your admittance---you will be charged with being under the influence. Codeine is a controlled substance. Read the bottle --no driving or heavy lifting.

NO!!! Any narcotic (and codeine is one) will impair your reflexes, reaction time, judgement and depth perception, all of which are crucial when you are riding a motorcycle. However, if you insist on killing yourself, that's one thing, but please think about how devastating it would be to kill someone else. Please don't!
