Okay..
I am a kid but not a slacker..
i do think that my birthday is a Holiday, because come on nwo it is when i was born and everyone these days think of there selves higher then other, and when they were born is a holiday in there own mind...

I take my birthday off from work every year because I earn the vacation time and it's at my discretion when I use it. I think my birthday is a very special day and so I treat it as such. I'm curious as to why you don't think your birthday is special enough to warrant a day off!

They got the idea from us, dad.
We made a big fuss over their birthdays when they were little.
We taught them a birthday was their own special day. We gave special concessions, privileges, and treats on their birthdays.
Now that they are grown, they still operate using the behavior patterns we instilled in them.
Sorry, but it's all your fault, dad.

I work with nonprofits, and heck, a lot of them give their employees the day off for their birthday!
