I think men should always be men. If you want to curse then curse. If you lust after a woman than lust after her and dont hide. if you laugh at something that women find inappropriate laugh anyways. I believe personally the differences between men and women is what ultimately attracts. i think the gender lines have been so severely crossed that men don't know how to even behave instinctually any longer. So what, I curse, i smoke, i dont care what women have to say most of the time and i lust after them almost all the time. I want to kid around roughly and be loud dammnit! I dont bend to a woman's every whim because i think it would please her...i want to please myself first! this is all natural for men to feel and for women to feel the exact opposite. so what do you guys think?

That's natural and typical for a child to act that way. We are all selfish as children, and as we become adults, that's when we learn how to be unselfish. It's not an instinctual thing. After all, your parents have cared for you since day one, putting you before them every second of the day. Why would you know anything else? You have to learn it, and you will continue to be put in the same situations, making the same mistakes over and over until you finally get it. Or, you will die as you are now and will have failed.
A real man shows respect for others in all situations, especially to those that he loves. He will protect and provide, emotionally, financially, and in other ways, for his family in all circumstances. However, he won't let people take advantage of him just because of gender-specific roles- no matter who they are. He will stand up for his beliefs in order to teach his children integrity. You cannot have respect for yourself if you do not appear respectful to others. No one will take you seriously. Only the naive.
I don't know what woman in your life failed you, but please do not take it out on the rest. It sounds like you're just going through some rebellious stage, with underlying anger, which you will feel pretty dumb about five years from now. Smoking and cursing aren't instinctual male traits. Those are learned generally from the same-sex parent at a very young age. Everyone lusts. Trust me. I think if you go too far on the stereotypical spectrum of what makes men men and women women, you'll find there are more incompatibilities because of the fierceness of both extremes. There has to be a medium on both sides. One can't overcompensate for the other, or else there will be problems. We don't complete each other. We are two separate, functioning human beings with our own needs, and we can't add-on to our partners' abilities with our own. They are still who they are no matter what you are.

There is a comprimise to everything. Men dont have to spit, be rude, or curse to be men, neither do they have to lust after any woman that comes across them. You have a brain use it! Gender lines have not been crossed. The question is not whether your a man or not. The question should be are you a caring man? Are you a thoughtful man? Are you a responsible man? Many powerful men do not have to constantly display that they are masculine in nature, the ones that do are least convincing of masculinity. Im not against you in any way but I think the world is not just about you. Its about everyone including you!

Dude, how many years has it been since you've been with a woman? Just kidding but while I understand what you're saying (to a certain extent), these days, if you want female company (strippers don't count), you have to at least half way pay attention to them and try to curb breaking wind and belching in front of them. It's ALWAYS been that way. I don't think that makes you less of a man but you
need to soften the edges up a little around the ladies. When you're with your buddies ("mates"?), then it's OK to be a little crude and obnoxious.
