I think your wife should be greatful to start with that she has you. Not many people have a marriage anymore. I also think that getting a gift of someone that you love is nice from time to time. But I think the comment if she doesn't like the slippers she can go shag her self was inappropriate. I think that is why you are there for too treat her with respect and dignity. She is your wife you don't shag yourself you make love to her.

Women are difficult creatures. You need to understand them. Things that you consider 'silly' and small are what make them happy. What were you thinking by buying her a vibrator, whats wrong with your 'vibrator'? And I think you lost it by buying her slippers. Women need to be loved (in the bedroom), complimented everyday, even if you dont mean it. If you do these two things it wont matter what you buy them for valentines day.

First of all, sir you got brass ones to do that. Second, these so called "days", I think, are created by the mother corporations known as Hallmark just to get money out of people. Doing something thoughtful for your partner I think is just as good as getting one of those over priced cards anyday.

Yes she does seem a little ungrateful however if she does not like this stuff then have her take them both back and let her get something that she does like and enjoy. She will appreciate this more.

To be honest, it's not really romantic is it? Next year stick to the traditional huge bouquet of flowers, expensive belgian chocolates and jewellery, that will always do the trick.
