They do searches on the Internet (Search Engines) usually they have News and Current Events to read. There are many search engines; http://www.answers.com , http://www.info.com , http://www.kosmix.com
You can even do a search in Yahoo for "Search Engines".
I just did a search and found Wikipedia have a whole list of things.

Google is a search engine, now providing maps, images, videos and "gmail" email service.
Yahoo! is an email service, providing search and many other features as well.
