It was obviously fake and he was mugging for the camera. That and his inappropriate "jokes" were very unprofessional. That hearing was a circus.

I think it was the affects of his blood pressure and any treatment he received for it.
Judge Seidlin was over-exhausted from extended days and late night court proceedings (He lived and breathed the case 24/7 as long as he was the presiding judge) causing him to feel a connection with all parties in the courtroom. He mentioned during his verdict that he would be taking an extended rest after he stepped off the bench yesterday and that his blood pressure was rising from the proceedings.
Poor guy, I would have never taken his place for all the money in the world.

Judges are not robots! While it did have a touch of unproffesionalism, i'm certain that he has feelings and emotions too. How does anyone know that he does not do this with other cases?? Maybe he just truly feels sorry for what he knows that the baby will have to endure in the future. Not all judges act the same,it just so happens that he is a bit eccentric.

Give the man a break! Look at the stupidity he had to endure. All these greedy, drugged out individuals coming with arguments with no evidence of any kind. 3 days to realize Anna had a drug problem and all the people around her wants the wealth. And then we have a baby without an established father. I would of blown my head off.

No, definitely not. He chose to express himself by crying. For what? To show how sensitive he is to the case? All his crying only made me question his stabilty, his judgement and his ability to be impartial. I understand emotions and I understand how tears can form against your will - but he cried through the whole thing and he even stopped and sobbed. As a judge, he took it too personally.

Only if he's human. And since he is, it's none of our business. There may be a lot more to it than what we see. Plus, who in the hell are we to judge him? Some things affect different people differently.

I think he is putting on a show for the media and wants to have his own TV court show. He's almost as annoying as Judge Judy.

the man is a joke...they interviewed a friend of his on t.v. and the friend said he's trying to get his own show like Judge Judy. He's putting on a show..he's trying to prove he could make his show "worth" watching...it's a joke.

Very unprofessional, which makes me think that it was just a big show by him. Judges never cry -- especially judges!

Yes because he is a loser and knew what he should have done was to give the go ahead to bury Anna in the Bahamas but gave the lame decision that her body belongs to her newborn baby. I mean WTF. The man should be disbarred for that travesty.
