The last movie he made was rush hour 2 and we havent seen or heard anything from him I really liked his acting what happend to him did he just dropped of the earth?

if i remember correctly he had some drug problem and im not sure if he went to jail.like most actors that end up on that road most dont want to hire them again.but i heard that they were making rush hour 3 soon...
