You will have 2 to 4 of them automatically built in depending on the model of the computer

All modern computers come with USB ports, including Dell computers. However, how many USB ports and where they are located varies. Most peripherals need a USB port, including: printers, keyboards, mouse, external hard drives, external DVD drives, flash drives and you get the idea. You should try to get a computer with USB ports both in front and in back. It is convenient to have USB ports in front (i.e. to easily plug in a flash drive without having to go behind to attach it). You can check with Dell, they always include the number of ports and their location under the specification section.

USB 2.0 ports are included on all new systems as they are the primary way that peripherals such as printers, scanners, memory sticks are connected to pc's. Most new pc's usually include at least 6 of these - 4 at the back, 2 at the front.

Yes USB port/s are a common feature of all the branded PCs now. You should not need to order it separately

Yes, its standard on every PC now. I wouldnt buy Dell tho! Get an HP if you want support and ease of restoration along with upgradeability! Dell is poor in support and very upgrade unfriendly!
