Yo Ho the good old days.
When you got that burning slag rolling down the inside of your shirt and you try to shake it out before it gets to your NAD'S.
You can where all the protective gear, and you will still get a bounce of hot slag find it's way in, with overhead welding.
Overhead welding, you can reduce the risk, but the burn comes with the job.

my first question to you is, what kind of welding are you doing? thats the key. most importantly the right protective gear is critical. remember proffessionals are what they are for a reason. they are trained to do wajt they do. my grandfather told me a long time ago..."before you learn the tricks of the trade, learn the trade" end quote.
