Identify the legislation that is linked to the issue and explain why there is a connection. I am thinking of how to use the NAGPRA (Native American Grave Protection and Repatriation Act). I am not sure how to put it into words. Is the NAGPRA the legislation? and are the current issues the fact that non-natives are wanting to keep sacred bones, funerally items, and special tribal things, while the federal government wants to keep them? Am I understanding this or am I getting it all wrong? I need help! This is a college assignment due tonight and I have researched so much and I am so confused. Can someone please provide details and help me to understand? Thanks so much in advance!

The Native Americans believe that the spirits of their departed loved ones will stay in limbo if their bones are not kept/returned to their appropriate burial sites. Museums, however, think that it is in society's best interest to hold the several thousand bones / pieces of bones in cellars at the museums.

Most people don't care one way or another, whether because they are too busy within their own lives to look at someone else's problems, or they feel that the Natives lost the War to white people and too bad for them.

Google- the livestock reduction act. This is still a point of contention even today. It is an unjust law that specifically targets navajos, and keeps us limited as to how much sheep we can own, thereby preventing ranchers from prospering and enlarging their herds.
